Dendrobium kingianum ‘AEO’

February 11, 2018 By A'na Sa'tara

Does this flower look familiar?  This is the Dendrobium kingianum that graces the AEO logo.  A beautiful, relatively short form that does not need a winter chill to bloom.  While most of our Dendrobium kingianum grow outdoors year-round, this one is a member of a small group that come indoors for the winter, and blooms in January-February, much earlier than the others.

Dendrobium kingianum ‘AEO‘ is  distinctive with a  strong “stripe” down the center of the mostly white petals.
