Dendrobium vexillarius (orange)

January 11, 2018 By A'na Sa'tara

Another vibrantly colored clone of Dendrobium vexillarius, highland New Guinea species.  For more background on our culture and experience with growing Dendrobium vexillarius, please see the orchid portrait of the red form of this species.

This clone is likely of the subspecies microblepharum, found at lower elevations.  Excellent detail on the recognized subspecies of Dendrobium vexillarius can be found in the online guide to Orchids of New Guinea.
